My favorite image was the pink rose on the black background. I like how the black background makes the flower stand out so much. I also love how easy it was to cut out with the quick selection tool.
Which selection tools did you think worked best for specific elements in an image? My favorite selection tool is the quick selection tool. However, I found it difficult to use when the colors were too similar. In that case, I preferred the magnetic lasso tool.
What tools/skills used to create simple composite do you think you might use again? I really liked the ALT move to copy images quickly. I think that would be especially useful if I was creating a collage.
How would you use these tools in future projects? I think all of the tools we have learned thus far in this class can be applied towards future projects. Knowing the best way to select objects when you need to cut something out is very helpful, because it will save time in the future. Trial and error takes up more time.
What keyboard shortcuts are you using regularly now? Ctrl+D to deselect, Alt+Move, Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl+V to paste
What challenges did you experience in this process? In the book lesson, I had a tough time at the very end when it came to selecting the sand dollar. It kept giving me error messages and saying there was nothing selected. It finally just worked even though I was doing the same thing I think so I'm not sure what I was or was not doing. Another challenge was that the marching ants when using the selection tools makes me dizzy so I had to take a few breaks which was inconvenient.
