This was an interesting project. I started with the focus on Alaska and then decided to make three Alaskan travel posters using pictures from our cruise. I was so excited about the concept that I started on the most complex (6 or more layers) poster first. After I finished all three, I found I liked the simpler, less busy posters best.
My web page for project 4 is at this URL:

1. Which blend modes did you experiment with and then use in your project?
I used a lot of blend modes as effect to smaller components. It seemed that blending was a part of many of the layer effects. I used it in my borders and other layer effects.
2. How did you use the stacking order to produce your final results in your most
complex composite?
I had a series of smaller photos at the bottom of the poster that partially laid on top of each other. I used the stacking order to overlay each photo on the right side.
3. What layer effects did you use? Which layer styles did you apply to another
layer?
I used shadowing, bevel and emboss, outer & inner glow to make objects pop more.
4. What key elements of layer managements in this module that you plan to
use in future projects?
I like keeping each item on its own layer so I have maximum control.
5. What challenges did you experience in the process?
As always, I had to step though a process a number of times before I felt comfortable with it. I’m finding the book a lot more helpful. I use it to reference specific buttons and effects.
6. What keyboard shortcuts are you using regularly now?
I’m still limited to Ctrl D and Ctrl S. I use the Ctrl to drag selected images.
I look forward to doing a lot more with composite projects. It’s a fun way to be creative.
