Rulers and guides: Fantastic! They make things so much more accurate.
2. What was your favorite filter combination? How did filters contribute to your results? Did they improve or distract from the result you desired?
I don't have a favorite filter combo. I have used so many of them that I don't really remember offhand which one I liked best. It would totally depend on the piece I am working on. Overall, I feel filters generally detract from the work, but when they fit the need then can be awesome. For the most part I used the filters to fulfill project requirements.
3. Describe your experience using Smart Objects and the editing process.
They are incredible! How cool is it to be able to work without damaging the original file? Very! They do seem to use quite a bit more processing power when there are multiple files in one composite...
4. In your second composite, please describe your favorite features you used to create this advanced composite. How did you challenge yourself in creating your results?
Probably refine edges and blending. I don't know, it all comes together and my favorite tool is the one that is accomplishing what I need at the time...
