project 8 amanda s

I was very frustrated using the guides. It took me several tries to figure out why images weren't snapping to the guides, even then it just magically started to work and I never really figured out what the problem was. Another issue I had was trying to space a couple images a close distance together without having them line up, so I tried using two guides about a cm apart and the darn things kept snapping back to each other!
I liked the filter combo I used on the capitol building for my tutorial assignment, it gave it a very 1960's photo feel.
I like using smart objects, but (unless I'm missing something) I don't fully understand why you need it other than the convienience of having it open in a seperate area.
I love the faded effect that feathering gave to my mask of the mask in my composite.
I've learned the hard way that ctl + s is my best friend throughout the class :)
