1. HOLY CRAP, LAYER COMPS ARE GOING TO SAVE MY LIFE! I don't know if this feature is new to CS5 or if it's been around all along and I've actually wasted a gazillion hours of my life for no reason, but I make rollover images ALL the time... Combined with Slicing (which I hadn't previously known about either) my whole world seriously just got so much better. I think I'm actually going to have some of that mystical "free time" I hear so much about... Stoked!
2. I pretty much just went with the video method, with minor differences that only occurred when I'd made a mistake and had to do things in a weird order to salvage the situation... For example, I made 16 button shapes that I'd sorted into "up" and "over" folders, and in addition to using different FX they also had different background base colors; so, instead of only sorting/saving styles by appearance, I had to leave "visibility" checked off as well. So I had a couple moments of frustration, but it never took long to figure out and recover. I will DEFINITELY use Slicing in future projects.
3. I tend to use CSS a lot more often (even though the Dreamweaver way is so quick n easy) just because I find the rollover script can get kinda buggy. Maybe that's just me, though, I dunno.
4. I made a shiny new version of my web design company logo to use for the copyright section.
5. I did complete the bonus, it was really easy... I just opened the HTML file in Dreamweaver and made the exact same edits that I did for all the other project sites. Simple as that!
6. I'm all over these shortcuts now :) [see my project 8 post for details]
