1. Masking doesn't seem all that different to me. I feel like I need a lot more practice to get it perfect. Once I do I am sure it will be easier to preserve details in the image.
- I keep getting the refine edge eraser and paint mixed up on functionality. Also I had trouble because I didn't choose images that stood out from their backgrounds. I couldn't get it to work that well.
2. The puppet tool did just what I wanted(didn't use it on this image) Seems useful for bending images.
3. You would use the quick mask when the edges are more clearly defined.(?)
4. Channels section a little challenging and not enough depth in my opinion.. Book doesn't explain why - just what to do. Have no idea how I will use this, but good to know its there. -no e.c.
5. cntrl z,x,s,+,-,c,v,and alt for subtracting from a selections.
